The idea of this poster for an event co-organized by the Han Cultural Society (Singapore), Lam Ann Association Youth Division, Nanyang Confucian Association Youth Division, SGWritings Culture Association in Singapore was to introduce the DongZhi Festival (Winter solstice) family day. "I'm Han" doubles as a graphical headline as well as a focal point. It is strategically placed above the hat of a young kid in Taipei's Confucius temple and it is meant to summarize the message that through the identity of the Han Chinese culture, a sense of bonding to the deep history can be established. During the event on December 18, 2011, in additional to savoring glutinous rice balls, participants will also witness a solemn ritual in traditional clothing which is performed for the first time in Singapore. A local TV station as well as Lianhe Zhaobao (Chinese newspaper) were there to report the historical event.
