Inspired by Post-impressionists, this poster borrows artistic elements derived from that genre of painting such simple geometrical forms, depicted in the giant container that extends beyond the top of the poster as a suggestion for us to collect the rainwater from the sky. The natural forms of trees and the ground are simplified for expressive effects. Meanwhile, lotus plants that thrive only in an open environment now grow under the ground as water collected underground provides enough supplement for them to thrive, symbolically expressing that water is important for any life form to thrive, even in the most unlikely environment.
This is one of the two posters submitted on October 31, 2013 to the International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance based in Geneva, Switzerland to highlight the benefits of rainwater harvesting. |
