This is one of the poster submissions for Good50x70: 2010 The Social Communication Project - 4th edition for the international social poster competition organized to support the causes addressed by Amnesty International, Amref, Emergency, Greenpeace, Libera, Lila and WWF.

Mafias do favors and launder money. They practice extortion, and engage in the illegal traffic of weapons, drugs, counterfeit products, toxic waste and human beings. It is necessary to "be against" all mafias, but in order to beat them it is more important to "to be for" the creation of paths and spaces for freedom, memory and legality. It is a call each and every one of us should heed. A simple association to a zipper, the stark and powerful message in this composition sends the message that certain things do not mix. Hence, it is best to keep them apart but yet when we zip them together such as the symbolic zipper that unites the two colluding sides together, on the left; weapon of destruction and family units that begin with a man and a woman on the right, we get deadly results. This is represented by the coffin as the interlocking outset, spelling doomed men and women resting in peace due to the violent nature of organized crime.
