On the cover of Volume 5 Issue 2 of ConnexSCIons, students investigate how mesmerized are we by Twitter, Plurk & Wiki. The cover design, created by Lee Shuxian and Tan Wei Zheng showed a girl, driven by curiosity, opening up a Pandora's Box when she unleashes the power of Internet User Generated Content (UGC).
The words streaming into the computer on the left indicate user input, while those on the right show output. Colourful rays depict UGC as
something very alluring; a stark contrast to our ordinary lives. However, criticisms of UGC lurk in the background, which is kept dark to depict an element of mystery as the enormous potential of UGC has yet to be fully explored.
